Role Description
We are seeking a full time and part-time on-site role for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at Sprout + Thrive. Responsibilities include providing occupational therapy services, creating and carrying out treatment plans, collaborating with team members and other medical professionals, communicating with parents and caregivers, and focusing on pediatric care.
This is a role with a flexible schedule for the right candidate. Schedule could include part time day hours with babies and toddlers, after school hours at least 3 days/week, potential to add 1-2 Saturdays/month (if desired). Responsibilities include:
Performing occupational therapy evaluations
Developing and carrying out individualized treatment plans
Providing pediatric OT services
Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team and other medical professionals
Communicating effectively with parents and caregivers
Supporting children through developmentally appropriate, relationship-based care
Qualifications
Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR)
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or OTD degree in Occupational Therapy
WA State OT licensure
Pediatric experience preferred
Strong communication skills, especially with caregivers
Knowledge of current healthcare and pediatric therapy practices
Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
Strong interpersonal skills
Flexibility and adaptability
Role Responsibilities
Pediatric evaluation and treatment including:
Feeding
Motor skills
Sensory integration
Emotional regulation
Fine motor delays and more
Caregiver education and development of home exercise programs (HEP)
Timely documentation (can be completed at home)
Build strong rapport with children and families
Collaborate effectively with other therapists
Opportunity for home health pediatric OT services, if desired
Functional, routine-based interventions
Support children in meaningful occupations across home, school, and community environments
